Frederic HAMMEL, MBA
Chief Executive Officer
Before joining Platine at the end of 2011, Frederic was the CEO of TxCell, a biotechnology company dedicated to the development of new therapeutic treatments for auto-immune diseases. Prior to TxCell, he was General Manager of the Soluscope Group, a private company developing and manufacturing innovative medical devices.
Frederic Hammel started his career in Rhone Poulenc Rorer (RPR) as manufacturing director then as R&D Director at the “Infection Control” business unit of Air Liquid Healthcare.
He has two masters of Biology of the French “Ecole Normale Superieure” and an MBA from the “College des Ingenieurs” in Paris.
Samuel SALOT, MBA
Chief Operating Officer
Prior to joining Platine in April 2011, Samuel worked for 2 years as Director of Operations to lead the starting consortium of Platine. Before this venture, Samuel held different positions at Innate Pharma since 2002, notably as responsible for cell therapy development, scientific contracts and external collaborations.
Samuel manages day-to-day operations at Platine and is responsible for the improvement of the company’s flows and systems.
Samuel has a Master's degree in immunology of the Practical School of Advanced Studies, Pantheon-Sorbonne University, Paris IV and an MBA from EM LYON Business School.
Marc Essodaigui, PhD
Director Sales & Marketing
Marc has joined Platine in September 2011 to develop the company’s sales & marketing operations.
He started his career as Director Business Development, Biotechnologies at Reed Elsevier in Paris. After completing a Master in Strategic Marketing at the French National Marketing Association, he joined Ipsogen in 2004 where he served 6 years as Vice President Marketing & Sales.
Marc holds a PhD in Molecular Biophysics from the University Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris.
Nicolas ANFOSSI, PhD
Director, Science & Technology
Nicolas has been working in the field of innate and adaptive immunity for more than 12 years. He started his career in the Center of Immunology of Marseille Luminy (CIML) in the laboratory of Professor Eric Vivier in 2000. He joined afterwards Innate Pharma in 2004 where he served as a R&D scientist and R&D manager, leading the immuno-pharmacology team at Innate Pharma.
He joined Platine’s consortium in 2008 and actively contributed to the set-up of the laboratory. He is Scientific and Technical Director since 2011.
Nicolas holds a PhD in Immunology from the Aix-Marseille University.
Christine Bain, PhD
Director Project Management
For over 20 years, Christine conducted research on the immunological mechanisms involved in tumor control and viral protection. In 1997, she joined the team of Genevieve Inchauspe, focusing on immuno-pathogenesis of Hepatitis C virus and trying to understand the mechanisms that are involved in viral persistence.
Prior to joining Platine, she coordinated immunomonitoring/biomarker research projects for 5 years within the framework of Transgene’s clinical studies in oncology and infectious diseases.
In Platine, Christine is in charge of Project Management and she will be, with her team, your key contact as soon as your study begins.
Christine holds a PhD in Life and Health Sciences from the University Claude Bernard, Lyon I.
